100% local — the file never leaves your device

How to use it

  1. Drop the image, or tap to choose it.
  2. Type the maximum size the form accepts, in KB, and press Reduce.
  3. The result says the real size in KB and whether it is under the limit. Then download it.

Examples to write in the box: under 50 KB, reduce to 20kb

Limits and compatibility

  • It checks the maximum weight only. Many forms also ask for a minimum weight, exact pixels or a background colour: read them on the official site of the form.
  • The tool does not show requirements for a form unless they were read from its official source, with the date.
  • Quality goes down from 90 to 40 first, then width and height shrink in 15% steps, down to 64 pixels on the short side.
  • If the limit cannot be reached, you get the smallest image produced and the check says “not passed” with the real size.
  • 1 KB here is 1000 bytes, so the result is under the limit whichever convention the form uses.

Privacy

The page downloads its code once. After that, your files are read and written inside this browser tab: nothing is uploaded, and no request leaves the page while the work runs. An automated browser test checks the network log for this.

Frequently asked questions

The form says 1 KB is 1024 bytes. Is the result still fine?

Yes. The tool counts 1 KB as 1000 bytes, which is the stricter reading: a file under 50,000 bytes is also under 50 × 1024 bytes.

Can I also set the pixel size?

Yes: write for example “resize to 350x350” in the box first, then use Do something else with the result to reduce the weight.

Why did the photo get smaller in pixels?

Because lowering the quality was not enough to reach the limit. The dimensions are reduced only after the quality has reached its minimum.

Does the tool know the rules of my exam or visa form?

Only for the destinations whose official page was read, with the date. For the others it shows no numbers: check the official site.
