How to use it
- Drop one or more images, or tap to choose them.
- Set the maximum weight per image and press Compress.

Limits and compatibility
- First the quality is lowered, between 90 and 40; if that is not enough, the width and height are reduced in steps of 15%, down to 64 pixels on the short side.
- The format stays the same. A PNG is lossless, so for a PNG only the dimensions can be reduced.
- If the target cannot be reached, you get the smallest image produced and the check shows “not passed” with the real size.
- 1 KB here is 1000 bytes: a file under 50,000 bytes is under 50 KB in both conventions.
- HEIC, GIF and AVIF are not accepted yet.
Privacy
The page downloads its code once. After that, your files are read and written inside this browser tab: nothing is uploaded, and no request leaves the page while the work runs. An automated browser test checks the network log for this.
Frequently asked questions
Will the image lose quality?
Some, since smaller files keep less detail. The tool tries the highest quality that fits the target before reducing the dimensions.
Why did my PNG get smaller in pixels?
PNG does not have a quality setting: the only way to make it lighter while keeping it PNG is to reduce its dimensions. To keep the dimensions, convert it to JPG or WebP.
Can I compress many images at once?
Yes. Each image is compressed on its own to the same target, and each one is checked.
What if the target is too small?
You still get the smallest image the tool could make, and the result says clearly that the target was not reached, with the real size.
